one of my favorite places to go, luckily I walk two minutes and I am there, quiet paradise in the middle of a fully developed neighborhood.

i feel so unbelievably grateful to have the opportunity to photograph such important times in peoples lives, for them to trust me, to help them create lasting memories and photos to look back on. as my first maternity shoot i was so lucky to spend some time with tanis, we went to highschool together and it had been way too long since we have seen eachother. she has so much love for this new part of her life, and she can hardly wait until her baby boy is due in march.

rylee | newborn

Baby Rylee.. This was my first ever newborn shoot. He was such a trooper, only needed a couple snuggles to keep him going, he loves to be held and is such a happy baby, not to mention he is PERFECT! And what a great mama he has, we will be doing a big brother and little brother photoshoot in the next couple months I cant wait !

ellen | boudoir

now ellen and I have worked together for almost two years, and i always see her husband joel and her little babe charlee when they come into the salon. they have the sweetest little family and are busy and on the go with their little one all the time, plus working on top of that. so ellen came to me and decided she wanted to surprise joel with some photos for valentines day, the only time she has ever given joel photos of herself were self portraits, probably before they got married.. it was about time ! this green eyed girl said she was so nervous but was completely relaxed in front of the camera. ellen you were so much fun to work with and so easy to capture beautiful photos of you. im so happy we shocked joel !!

Alicia & Kirk Wedding

Wanted to show everyone these outside facebook, these two chefs wed at the end of January and it was their idea to have a wedding shoot at the Granville Island Market. What a great idea ! Even though it was drizzling we all had fun shooting in the rain, they even had their first dance. Good thing for umbrellas !

Making eyes pop

I have been using a photographers forum through Facebook the last couple weeks, everyone involved you are so full of exciting information ! Thank you to whoever posted a blog on how to make eyes pop in photoshop, such an easy tutorial and now I can make these amazing individuals stand out even more.

new beginnings

so i wanted to start a blog so i can show you all my photos without facebook stealing half the image quality. my beautiful friend karla has been so helpful letting me use her to practice as i have begun my photography business, you are unbelievable, and of course super easy and fun to photograph. i mean who can resist those bright blue eyes and that cute freckly face?
