first day of warmth

saturday morning i woke up, looked outside..instant satisfaction, sunshine..warm sunshine. in love. grabbed a blanket and lied on the deck for half an hour soaking it all in. warmth and sunshine gives clients motivation for photoshoots, which makes me super excited !

man this little guy loves to giggle, those deep down belly laughs that we all love to hear from babies. this was just a quick visit at my sisters place, we were having a family get together for her fiances birthday and their nephew came down from up island. gotta love those baby blues.

when the sun goes down

i cannot stop taking pictures of my favorite place. this marsh is so beautiful in all 4 seasons and i love every piece of it. i cant wait to do a couples session down here in a summer sunset..

faceless self portrait

I am on a group on Facebook called Photographers Connection, an awesome way to meet fellow photographers and share photos, ideas and inspirations. Well they created a 52 week photo challenge and each Friday its something new to post, this week is a faceless self portrait. I figured the best way to show ME without showing.. well, me, was my tattoo, something that described me to a T. Whats life without love? Loving something, or someone, or a place or thing can completely consume you with so much amazing energy making you happy everyday, even if its something little. Even if its not the same thing everyday, or you might not feel it as much one day, its there.

good night moon

one thing i love to do, wherever i am, if its in my hot tub, or the car, or looking out the window, is stare at the moon. it was almost full last night and had a break of clouds surrounding it. i came home and stopped in the driveway to pull out my camera, i sat in the middle of the road with my camera tilted up on my rainboots. my fingers got a little frozen on this basically clear night as i held the camera super still for this exposure. isnt it peaceful?

a little piece of Nanaimo paradise called Sugarloaf Mountain. had a free thursday morning so went out exploring when the sun was shining and enjoyed a peaceful hour of heaven on what feels like, the top of Nanaimo.

so i had a free thursday morning and decided to pull my bestie and her new man down to pipers lagoon. i havent done a lot of couples sessions so it was great practice for me, and they are so natural in front of the camera ! i absolutely love capturing so much chemistry ! i hope they had as much fun as i did.
