meet bronte. blanche macdonald graduate, freelance makeup artist in nanaimo w/ 'captivating makeup artistry', she wants YOU, i mean your face :) she is your go to girl with her trunk of goodies. did i mention shes as cute as her mini cooper? jealous ! i took bronte to my new 'secret spot ' and oh man i am addicted. i have been driving past this place for TWO years wondering if its someones property or how to get there, well now its MINE ! i love summer nights dont you?

as soon as ariel started working with me i was completely blown away by her soft pale skin and super blue eyes. as we were getting to know eachother she showed me a couple pictures of her wedding, and her babies, i totally fell in love with her wedding dress ! lucky for me, she was willing to take a dip and absolutely 'rock her dress' shoot. our own.island.mermaid, ran through my head the whole time as i was shooting her.. so beautiful ! oh, and she has the name to boot ;) doesnt that work out perfectly?

so whos in love with this girl as much as me? the most open, courageous, willing to do anything girl, whos so in love with life and it just beams off of her. not to mention shes eco friendly and a killer hair stylist. she ROCKED this photoshoot, right out of her own bedroom, note to self, boudoir photoshoot, add wine. i cant wait for her man to melt over these on his birthday. kristal, thank you again for letting me show everyone how beautiful you are.

let me tell you about this girl.. from being in brownies when we were little, to going to allschools dances, to doing photoshoots, kari is down for anything. she nails every photo, and is so much fun to play around with ! thank you for letting me raid your stylish closet, even though we ended up with something fun and grunge. you are stunning.

first day of warmth

saturday morning i woke up, looked outside..instant satisfaction, sunshine..warm sunshine. in love. grabbed a blanket and lied on the deck for half an hour soaking it all in. warmth and sunshine gives clients motivation for photoshoots, which makes me super excited !

man this little guy loves to giggle, those deep down belly laughs that we all love to hear from babies. this was just a quick visit at my sisters place, we were having a family get together for her fiances birthday and their nephew came down from up island. gotta love those baby blues.

when the sun goes down

i cannot stop taking pictures of my favorite place. this marsh is so beautiful in all 4 seasons and i love every piece of it. i cant wait to do a couples session down here in a summer sunset..
